\u201cMission\u201d is a documentary play based on the true story of a young Lithuanian volunteer. Born from fifteen hours of interviews, the play recounts Vaiva\u2019s (name changed) journey to war-torn Ukraine\u2014from working with children in Mariupol to volunteering in the front lines. It is the story of a person who, despite the doubts and fears of those around her, chooses to follow her convictions.<\/p>\n

On stage, documentary material intertwines with poetry, live narration, and theatrical imagination. The heroine is accompanied by four actors, like angels of death or the chorus of an ancient tragedy\u2014they tell the story, switch between characters, create fragments of memory, and allow the audience to get closer to the experience of war without depicting it directly. The reality of war is complemented by the poems of Ukrainian poet Artur Dron, which offer a sensitive and authentic glimpse into the everyday life of war.<\/p>\n

The play explores themes of faith, values, freedom of choice, and human solidarity, reminding us that even in the darkest moments, human determination and compassion can become the strongest form of resistance.<\/p>\n
