"Starting Point“ organised since 2016 by Kaunas City Chamber Theatre rengiamas tarptautinis jaunimo teatro festivalis, kviečiantis pažvelgti į jaunų žmonių pasaulį jų pačių akimis. Drąsūs, jautrūs ir eksperimentiniai spektakliai reflektuoja jaunimo kasdienybę, atskleidžia rūpimas temas ir vidines dramas.

Kasmet festivalyje rodoma ne tik Lietuvos ir užsienio jaunųjų scenos meno kūrėjų programa, bet ir rengiamas eskizų konkursas, kūrybinės dirbtuvės su menininkais, kurių metu kviečiame visus norinčius pažadinti viduje glūdintį kūrybiškumą.

„Išeities taškas“ – tai įvairių Lietuvos ir netolimo užsienio teatrų, aktorių, režisierių ir teatro entuziastų mozaika, kuri leidžia koncentruotai per dvi savaites pamatyti kaip ir apie ką kalba rytojaus scenos menininkų karta.

STARTING POINT: a stage for youth, courage and change

While many theatres talked and still talk about how important is the audience of young people and teenagers and how difficult it is to get them interested in the performing arts, Kaunas City Chamber Theatre has taken action and seems to have found one of the most effective ways already. I am referring to the youth theatre festival “Starting Point”, which has been organised since 2016, and whose initiator, the theatre manager Jurga Knyvienė, and her active team have been consistently working on their own task for all these years - to meet the expectations of the young audience, while at the same time trying to provide meaningful, quality content. It is valuable that from the very beginning several fundamental objectives have been respected: to address the often sensitive, sometimes even uncomfortable issues of young people's lives; and to enable the younger generation of creators (sometimes those who are still making their debuts) to present their work.
