„Kawloon: didžiausias namas pasaulyje“ – originalus lėlių teatro spektaklis, įkvėptas buvusio Kawloon aptvertojo miesto Honkonge – kadaise vienos tankiausiai apgyvendintų vietų pasaulyje. Spektaklio centre – personažas Tuanas, vienas stovintis prie milžiniško daugiabučio vartų ir bandantis rasti kelią į vidų bei atrasti naujus namus.
Aptvertasis miestas Kawloon priklausė Honkongo teritorijai, kuriai nebuvo taikoma valdžios kontrolė. Ilgainiui buvusi gynybinė tvirtovė virto vienu milžinišku statiniu, užimančiu vos 0,026 km² plotą, tačiau tapusiu namais daugiau nei penkiasdešimčiai tūkstančių gyventojų. Pasitelkdamas lėles, projekcijas, šviesos ir garso animaciją bei gyvai atliekamą muziką, spektaklis tyrinėja sudėtingos, nepažįstamos erdvės pažinimo procesą ir tai, kaip ji pamažu virsta namais.

“Kawloon: The Largest House in the World” is an original puppet theater production inspired by the former walled city of Kawloon in Hong Kong—once one of the most densely populated places in the world. At the heart of the performance is the character Tuan, who stands alone at the gates of a gigantic apartment building, trying to find his way inside and discover a new home.
The walled city of Kowloon was part of Hong Kong’s territory that was not subject to government control. Over time, the former defensive fortress transformed into a single massive structure covering an area of just 0.026 km², yet it became home to more than fifty thousand residents. Using puppets, projections, light and sound animation, and live music, the performance explores the process of coming to know a complex, unfamiliar space and how it gradually becomes a home.
